To do or not to do, that is the question...

So I've decided to try out for my school's play this year, meaning....

AUDITIONS!

Tomorrow.

I'm scared out of my wits and have no idea what to do. Except some goofy Shakespeare or a little Chicago. I've never done an audition in my life. This will be... interesting.

Location: School
Mood: Nervous!

Hey! I have a question about your year in Japan :) Did your year count as Vg2, and did you lose any subjects and studypoints when you came back to Norway?

O_O I know! I ended up improvising the entire thing, though. It turned out quite good, actually. This time, however, I do have a plan for what I'll do for the next two rounds. Phew!

Ingvill: Hi! Since I went with Rotary, I left in August and took my third year in Japan. Regardless, getting this year to count as a study year is probably very hard, seeing as there are exams and subjects you won't get in Japan. (Norwegian and such.)

In fact, Rotary discourages this and advise you to take this year off from studies and focus on the exchange. For me, I know it would have been simply too hard to study up on it all on my own. In stead I learnt lots in Japan I would never have had the chance to do in Norway. I'm currently in my third year of high school, and all my friends have graduated. I did not lose any study points, although with the new schedules it was impossible for me to continue with my Chinese here. Coming back is tough, but it's definitely worth it. I wouldn't change this year for the world! :)

Go little sis!
I've NEVER ever improvised a whole audition, not even considered it! (Though cadenzas could be improvised.)
Proud of you!!!

My cousin went to China (as Vg2)- but did what Helene and Rotary recommends. But - he studied like mad during the summer afterwords, and managed to do Vg2 and all exams before his 3rd year started, and this way kept up with the rest of his year. Pretty tough, and you would have to go for exchange in your 2nd year. Something to think of?
