Japanese host family!

I was contacted by Rotary the other day. He called at about 10:30 PM. He said he had information about my exchange and my Japanese host family. Whoaaa! XD I was jumping up and down in front of the phone (set on microphone mode) during most of the conversation. Needless to say, I was quite excited... =P

My host family is quite big. I'll be living with:
Father
Mother (who doesn't work and stays at home. Good for me - this means there'll always be someone in the house when I come home from school, and there will be someone in the house to help me. A lot.)
Sister (22)
Sister (19)
Little brother (15)
...and a little sister (8)

My little sister's name is Momo. She'll be teaching me how to write Japanese! A Japanese 8-year old knows a lot more than I do, so I'm sure I'll learn a lot! However, I must say I find the situation quite funny. I don't think I've ever had a teacher that young before! =P

Apparently there's an American exchange student living with them now, so I think they're used to foreigners who don't understand what they're saying. =P She's really enjoying her stay in Japan, and I heard the other exchange students at Kamikawa English School like it there too. Sounds promising, ne?

Also, my school has some really cool subjects! They have kendo (which is basically Japanese fencing), judo, calligraphy and tea ceremony! Man, it's going to be really hard to choose! ><.

Moving on to a completely different topic: I have my ju jitsu blue belt test Saturday next week. Whoa! I'm stressed. Some of the throws are quite a challenge. Now that I don't have Iris as my partner either, I think I might feel a bit alone. =P But they don't ask you to do the test unless they think you're up to it. Also, my sensei has promised to help me. Ganbarima~su! XO

My third year of arts & craft at the riverhill will be a lot more gray and depressing without you.

Wherefor is your writings in the English in your webbelog anyway?
I can't spot any filthy outlander scum among your blog friends at all.

Reason I write in the English on my webbelog be that it more easy. XP
I don't think they have æ, ø, å on Japanese keyboards either, so it's better for me to write in English. (ae, oe and aa just isn't the same, is it?) Also, I thought I'd need to practice a bit now that I don't have English at school anymore.

Aww, you're so sweet! I'm going to miss you guys too! Promise to send me pictures and let me know what's going on here while I'm on exchange, ne? :)

But don't worry - I'll still be annoying you all for some time before I leave. It's not my time to go just yet... ;P
