I'm really looking forward to learning more about my exchange and the first family I'll be staying with. Even though I expect I'll have to wait for some time... Waa~ah, I'm so excited! XD

Japan update
Rotary has contacted me again. I had sent them a mail where I asked some questions, but they don't have all the answers yet. Apparently, the next information I get will be from Japan(!) However, there are some things they've told me: I'll be leaving in August - two months later that I thought, which means I'll get to spend my summer holiday in Norway. I'm quite happy about that, actually. Also, I won't have to take the plane alone. There's a boy from Norway who's going on an exchange to Japan with Rotary as well, and we'll be traveling together. Phew! I would have been so nervous if I had to do it by myself. I can't even find my way around Oslo! I have next to no sense of direction because I don't pay attention when following others, and I'm generally quite hopeless. ^^; Heh, looks like I've been saved.

Social science and Phoenix Wright
We're currently learning about crime and punishment in our social science class. Lots of talk about trials and ways of preventing crime. Which brings me to my newest obsession - Phoenix Wright (Gyakuten Saiban). It's a game for Nintendo DS where you play as the defense attorney Phoenix Wright, defending suspects against teh hotness that is prosecutor Miles Edgeworth. (Usually.) This equals "squeee!" and lots of fandom. 'Nuff said. Google it if you want to know more. Google is your friend.
Anyway, the problem is, now I'm constantly thinking PW while in class, leading to random voices in my head shouting "Igiari!", "Kurae!" and "Matta!", or "Objection!", "Take that!" and "Hold it!" And I haven't even beaten the first game yet. I still have two more to look forward to! XD
...in short, I'm doomed.
Well, I'm off. School's ended for the day, so I'm going to take the bus...
...and play Phoenix Wright on my way home.

Nekomimi
I've been meaning to write about this for a long time, but I just didn't have the time. Anyway...
During the autumn holidays, I went on a raid in our cupboard and discovered an old blue hooded sweater that I used to wear when I was about 12 years old. Well... I just love hooded sweaters with ears on them (especially nekomimi - cat ears), so I decided to make something similar out of this. I needed some help from mom, obviously, since I'm not that good at sewing yet... (-__-)' However, I did sew a lot of it by hand, by myself. After a while, it looked something like this:
Since I was going to my school to meet Eirik that day, I didn't have that much time. Soo... I just sewed the ears on to the hood, and fastened the tail with a safety pin - voilá! Neko outfit! It was quite fun walking down the street wearing this. :3
I found Eirik in the school library where he was forced to work while the rest of us were enjoying our holiday (haha!). We spent some time chatting and killing each other in Worms World Party. I love that game! FYI - I'm a pro with the ninja rope and the banana bomb! XD
That aside... Eirik was interviewed while I was there, by some lady from a Christian newspaper called "Vårt Land". (Anyone who's seen "Ut i vår hage 2" will understand why we thought this was so hilarious...) She told us she was working as a freelancer, and she was really interested in the things we talked about. She even said she's like to interview us about our interest in manga, anime and Japan! I hope she knows what she's started... :P Also, she really liked my neko outfit, and asked me if she could take some pictures. "Oh, and you even have a tail! That's so cute!" XD Haha, it reminded me of cosplaying, it was fun!
Nekomimi rules - end of discussion.
